What each Exness contact channel lets you show
Exness support answers in writing, so the channel decides what you can put in front of it — a screen capture, a file, or a long extract from your own records.
Open Exness Account →Pick the Exness support channel by what you need to put in front of the reader, not by how fast you want an answer. Live chat carries a sentence and a single image; email and a support ticket carry files — a full capture, an exported extract several pages long. A help centre article carries nothing of yours at all, because you only read it. A question you cannot attach anything to is a question about the rule and is worth asking as one; a question you can attach something to is a question about your own case, and the material should lead it.
What each channel can carry
| Channel | What it carries well | What gets lost in it |
|---|---|---|
| Live chat | A sentence and a single image pasted straight into the window | Long extracts arrive as one unbroken block, and anything laid out in columns loses its shape |
| Email or a support ticket | Files — a full-page capture, an exported extract several pages long | Nothing, provided the file is attached rather than described: a file named in the text and never attached is the commonest gap |
| Help centre article | Nothing of yours — it is a one-way channel, so it answers the general rule rather than your case | Your own material has nowhere to go here at all |
Which written channels are open to your profile, and what each of them accepts as an attachment, is listed inside your Personal Area — worth a look before you build a long message around a file the channel will not take.
A question with material and a question without it are different questions
Two kinds of message reach a support desk. One asks what the rule is: what a field means, which order two actions happen in, whether something is possible at all. Nothing is attached to it and nothing needs to be, because the answer is the same for every client. The other says that something on this particular account did not behave the way the rule says it should. That message is worth very little without the material that shows it, and the whole reply depends on whether the material arrived readable.
Mixing the two turns one exchange into four. A message that describes a screen in words invites a request for the screen; a message that attaches the screen but never says which part of it is the problem invites a request for the explanation. Decide first which of the two you are sending, then pick the channel that can carry it.
What a capture proves and what it does not
An image freezes one moment. It shows what was on the screen, but it cannot be searched and it cannot be quoted back to you. That makes it excellent for a state — a figure that looks wrong, a message you cannot get past, a field that will not accept anything — and poor for a sequence. A sequence lives in the account history and the terminal log, and both of those come out as text; text can be quoted, and a quoted line is what an answer is usually built on.
So the same complaint is worth sending in different shapes. If the point is that one figure is wrong, send the figure as an image and say which one you mean. If the point is that ten things happened in a certain order, send the extract as a file and mark the two lines that matter. An image of ten lines gives the worst of both: too small to read and impossible to quote.
Where an attachment quietly disappears
Three losses account for most repeat messages. A file mentioned in the body but never actually attached, which reads complete to the sender and empty to the reader. An image pasted into a chat window and then scrolled past, because the conversation continued and the picture now sits above the part anyone re-reads. And a very long paste dropped into a box built for sentences, which arrives as one block with its line breaks gone.
Each has a cheap fix. Attach first and write afterwards. In a chat, put one line under the image saying what to look at, so the picture keeps a handle in the text. And anything longer than a screen belongs in a file, with the two or three lines it is really about quoted in the message itself.
Matching the material to the channel
- Look at what you already have in hand: nothing, one screen, or a run of records.
- Nothing to show — ask the general question in whichever written channel is open, because a rule needs no evidence.
- One screen — a chat window takes an image directly, and a single caption line under it keeps the picture tied to its question.
- A run of records — send it as a file by email or ticket, then quote in the message the two lines the question is really about.
- Anything longer than a screen — do not paste it, attach it, and keep the message itself down to what the reader must decide.
Attach before you write: a message built around a file that never left the device costs a full round trip.
What each kind of material needs from the channel
| Material | What it shows | Where it survives |
|---|---|---|
| A single screen capture | One state at one moment | Chat or email — readable in both if it is sent whole |
| A run of records | An order of events, quotable line by line | A file by email or ticket; unreadable pasted into a chat window |
| A long quotation from a thread | What was said, and where | Email or ticket as text, so it can be searched and answered inline |
| Nothing at all | Nothing — the question is about the rule | Any written channel; the answer reads the same for everyone |
One message can carry all four, but only one of them at a time reads clearly.
